The European Renewable Energy Research Centres Agency E.E.I.G. (EUREC Agency) is the leading European association representing research centres and university departments active in the area of renewable energy. The purpose of the association is to promote research, innovation and education in the field of renewable energy.

EUREC Agency coordinates the secretariat of the European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling (RHC-Platform), a network comprising more than 600 stakeholders from industry, research, academia and public authorities, the objective of which is to promote the development of renewable heating and cooling technologies at European level. The agency is also involved in the secretariat of the European Photovoltaic Technology Platform (www.eupvplatform.org) and participates in numerous European projects: SOPHIA (European PV Research Infrastructures), InteSusAl (Integrated Sustainable Algae), GridTech (Impact Assessment of New Technologies to Foster RES-Electricity Integration into the European Transmission System), and ICARE (EU-China Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy). It also has extensive experience in coordinating education and training activities in relation to renewable energy. Since 2002, over 400 students have graduated with the higher-education programme European Master in Renewable Energy (www.master.eurec.be), coordinated by EUREC Agency.
