Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

The Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning (MoEPP) is the designated national authority (DNA) responsible for coordinating the implementation of projects under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). In February 2007, the Government of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia adopted the National Strategy for the CDM for 2008 to 2012 (first obligation period).

The MoEPP’s Department of European Integration carries out various activities related to bilateral and international cooperation and European Union integration. The department coordinates all the activities of the ministry with respect to EU integration, with an emphasis on enabling the harmonisation of legislation with the EU. It also coordinates and manages international cooperation in the field of environment and nature protection.
